The Florida Caverns State Park is located in Marianna, FL, which is just about an hour west of Tallahassee. It is the only Florida state park offering cave tours to the public. In Holmes County, FL the Choctawhatchee River is a popular canoe trail for beginner paddlers. The upper portion of the Econfina Creek Canoe Trail, which passes by high limestone wall and sand bluffs as well as thick vegetation, is satisfying to the more experienced paddlers and the lower section is more suitable for leisurely canoeing. In Bonifay, FL take a step back in time and enjoy the historic sites or shopping on Main Street. Other activities in Bonifay include an all-night sing, craft festivals, and a Pro Rodeo event in the fall preceded by a parade.
