Are You Superstitious?
Friday the 13th usually is seen as a day to beware, a day to be cautious, a day full of superstition. I have had people who did not want to close on a home or enter into a contract on a home on Friday the 13th. If you have these feelings that is understandable. However, if you are afraid to buy a home right now for any other reason you may want to rethink that decision. Interest rates won't stay low forever and they have been low for quite a long time now. There is a tax refund coming your way if you are a first time home buyer ( I wrote an entire post on this previously). The deals at present are just phenomenal. You will look back in 10 years and kick yourself in the pants for missing this opportunity. So, if you are not buying a home today, Friday the 13th, I understand, but tomorrow on the 14th there is nothing to be afraid of.
Go for it! You'll be glad you did.
